Meet Our Founder

Tahsin Güney

Tahsin Güney

Tahsin Güney is a senior healthcare executive with over 30 years of expertise in general health insurance, social security systems, private healthcare management, and hospital operations. He is a well known figure in Turkey’s private healthcare sector, with extensive experience in healthcare investment consulting, medical tourism strategy, and public–private healthcare integration.

He served as Vice President and, for a time, as Acting President and Chairman of the Board at the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK), where he played a significant role in major reforms in retirement modeling, health insurance systems, and healthcare reimbursement structures.

In the private sector, he held senior leadership roles at Acıbadem Healthcare Group, one of Turkey’s leading private hospital networks. As CEO, he oversaw domestic and international hospital operations, took part in strategic growth, and managed regulatory and public relations.

His professional expertise includes:

  • Healthcare financing and investment advisory
  • Hospital management and operational efficiency
  • Physician compensation models
  • Healthcare policy and social security reform
  • Integration of public and private healthcare systems
  • Contract management with private health insurance companies
  • Medical tourism project development

Tahsin Güney earned his BA in Public Administration and Political Science from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) and his MA in Actuarial Science and Statistics from City University of London. He worked 20 years at the Turkish Social Security Institution and 16 years at Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

Currently, he provides consultancy services to private health insurance companies, hospitals, healthcare investors, and international agencies seeking to enter or expand in healthcare markets of Türkiye and close regions.
